7th Week of Autumn, Goddess of the week

This article is part of the Goddesses for Every Season Journey I have decided to take and I am following the book Goddesses for Every Season by Nancy Blair. A year long Journey to meet a different Goddess a week.

Laussel is the Goddess of the thirteen moons. She is known as the French Venus figurine as her carving was found in a cave in France and is from the Upper Paleolithic time. She holds a horn in one hand that has 13 notches, representing the 13 moons of the menstrual cycle and her other hand is on her belly, holding and connecting to her womb. This carving use to be tinted with red ochre and so she is known as a Goddess of fertility, creativity.

A Mother and Moon Goddess, Laussel is a creatrix and nurturer. Helping you through life if you should wish to call on her. She will help connect you to your womb of creation, to your divine feminine, where life is born. Whether you wish to have children or just wish to create other things in your life, this is where it all starts. As a mother she will nurture you and guide you on your path to where you wish to go. Comfort you in your times of need and celebrate in your times of joy. Laussel will show you the way.

Meditation to connect with Laussel

Laying or sitting down, take three deep breaths, relaxing your whole body. Put your hand over your womb area/between the base and sacral chakras and hold your intention in connecting to Laussel. You could say this in your head three times, ‘My intention is to connect with Laussel.’

Sit and feel the energy in this area. Imagine a light there and as you breathe out, see it expanding, growing bigger and bigger until it covers you entirely. Sit in this energy for a while. This is your creative energy. This is where your ideas start and can come to life. What does this energy feel like?

After some time, ask Laussel to come to you. Wait to see if she comes or answers your call. Then ask her questions and have your conversation. If she doesn’t come, then just try another time. Sitting in the energy is enough for now.

When you are done, take three deep breaths and come back to the room.

Write down your experience. What did the energy feel like? Did Laussel come to you and what was she like? Did she answer your questions? Did you feel the urge to create or did any ideas come forth for new projects etc?

My Journey with Laussel

Like I have mentioned in other posts, it is a continuous journey for me to connect with my divine feminine and my womb. To connect to my creativity and listen to my inner wisdom and body.

This week to connect to Laussel, I sat and closed my eyes. My hand on my womb, focused on that area and breathing deeply. Imagining a light there and it expanding until it surrounded me. Sitting in its energy, being peaceful, feeling the tingle. I then asked Laussel to come to me and she gave me a message. ‘Take the time for self care. Things will start to flow, projects and things you have dreamed of will manifest and flow to you. Taking the time for yourself will help you greatly. I will help you flow and become free and wild, to help you listen to your inner wisdom. We are one.’

How Laussel will help you

Laussel is ancient. She has been here from the beginning of time, she is the divine feminine. Helping you to connect to your menstrual cycle, she will help you to listen to your body more and what your womb is trying to tell you. Teaching you to show yourself love and self care. To help you open up to your creativity and let the flow of life pass through you and help you create your own life and happiness. She will help you to see yourself in a more caring way and know that you are beautiful just the way you are.

I hope you found this information helpful for your connection with Laussel. If you would like to have more information I have listed at the bottom a list of resources for you to read.
