Sophia (Shekinah) by Harana Janto

4th Week of Autumn, Goddess of the week

This article is part of the Goddesses for Every Season Journey I have decided to take and I am following the book Goddesses for Every Season by Nancy Blair. A year long Journey to meet a different Goddess a week.

Shekinah is a Hebrew Goddess. She is Yahweh’s consort and is the feminine aspect of God in Judaism. She is the Goddess of the Earth, the Mother and she dwells among her children. Shekinah is  the Goddess of wisdom, change, inspiration, compassion and creation. She is the primordial light that gave birth to all and she is also the Mother of Angels.

Associated with the Goddess Asherah, Wisdom in the Bible and the Gnostic Sophia as well as the Holy Spirit. Shekinah is also the spirit, breath and the Tree of Life itself.

Shekinah will help you have faith and courage to pursue great in your life. She will help you to trust her, in yourself and the Universe to provide for you. Especially in times of great change, Shekinah will help you through and support you. To let go and let the energy flow. Manifesting your dreams, your wants, and how your life turns out. Focus on the things you wish for yourself and your family, work towards them and trust that Shekinah will provide. Listen to your inner wisdom and let it guide you on your next steps. Trust in it. This is Shekinah.

Meditation to connect with Shekinah

Laying or sitting down, take three deep breaths, relaxing your whole body. Hold your intention in connecting to the Shekinah. You could say this in your head three times, ‘My intention is to connect with Shekinah.’

Imagine you are in a beautiful garden. It is big with lots of different flowers and trees. There are water fountains and different paths throughout. You see a path directly in front of you and you start to walk it. It takes you into another part of the garden and there is a big white temple. You know this is where you will find Shekinah. You go towards the temple and at the top of the stairs in an Angel. The Angel says ‘Welcome dear one. Come with me.’ You go up the stairs and follow the Angel into the temple. The Angel takes you through the temple to a big hall and says ‘This is where you will find Shekinah.’ and leaves you there. You look around and you notice there is a presence there. You can feel the energy. You ask Shekinah if she is there and she answers you. Continue your conversation with her. Asking your questions and asking for a message if you wish.

After some time Shekinah says goodbye and tells you that she is always here for you and to just call on her and trust her. You thank her for connecting. When you are ready, take three deep breaths and come back to the room.

Write down your experience. What was she like? Did she appear before you? What did she look like? What was her message? Did she answer your questions? What was in the temple like? What was the garden like?

My Journey with Shekinah

I only did a brief connection this week, but I hope to do more. Shekinah spoke to me and said ‘I am you and you are me. We are one. I am your inner wisdom. Listen to me and follow it with no doubt, but trust. I am the Goddess within.’ Although it was brief, it was all I needed for now. I will be connecting more with her as I feel I want to work with her more.

Shekinah is here to help you trust and have faith. To go with the flow and not worry, especially over things you can not control. She will help you to listen to your intuition and take the action you need to achieve your goals and desires. Shekinah is here to help you through life and she wants you to know you are not alone. Trust in her. Trust in yourself and trust in the Universe.

I hope you found this information helpful for your connection with Shekinah. If you would like to have more information I have listed at the bottom a list of resources for you to read.
